Excel WRAPCOLS Function
On March 16, 2022, Microsoft announced 14 new Excel functions. Most of them are text functions. Excel WRAPCOLS function is one the most useful function. It is high time to learn about this function.
Summary:
The new Excel WRAPCOLS function wraps the provided vector by columns after a specified number of elements.
Syntax:
=WRAPCOLS(vector, wrap_count, [pad_with])
where,
vector = the vector of reference to wrap.
wrap_count = The maximum number of values for each column. Where we want to start wrapping.
pad_width = The value with which to pad.
Example 1: We have the data in a single row as in dat we have. We want to have the table like the “data we want”.
Answer: The formula (in B10): =WRAPCOLS (B4:J4, 3), which returns the table under “Data we want“.
