3. Change order of default or custom tabs in Ribbon:
When you need to change the order of default order of Tabs, you can do so by using customize the Ribbon. Remember that you can alter the order of Home, Insert, Draw, Page Layout, Formula, Data, and other, but you cannot change the placement of File Tab. Follow the steps to change the order of Tabs:
Step 1: Open Customize the Ribbon dialogue box. You can open the Customize the Ribbon dialogue box in two ways:
Way 1: Right-click on any Tab (1)–> Then click on Customize the Ribbon (2).
Way 2: Click on File Tab–> Click on Options–> Then click on Customize Ribbon.
Step 2: After opening the Customize the Ribbon dialogue box, select the Tab you want to move up or down. In our example, we want to have the Home Tab before the Insert Tab. Select Home (1)–> click on Up (2).
Step 3: Check the Excel Tabs whether the change has been applied. We can see that the change has been made. Now we have Home Tab left to Insert Tab.
4. How to add a custom tab in Ribbon:
Sometimes, you need to add new commands to the Tabs list. Before adding the desired Tab, you first need to pick a tab from list, then click new group.

We want to add Spelling to the list of Group. We follow the following steps:
Step 1: Select the Tab. We select Home–> Click New Group–> Rename New Group.
Step 2: Add the Tab by clicking Add>>, and click OK.
